Welcome to PortPi

PortPi is a project to make your Raspberry Pi portable for real and much easier to manage. Once installed, your Raspberry Pi will provide a hotspot to allow you connect and manage it. Wherever you go, you can bring your Raspberry Pi only. Power it on and manage it with your smart devices. If your Raspberry Pi connects to Internet through ethernet (wired), you will also be able to share the Internet connection on your smart devices.

Under development

Currently PortPi project is under active development. If you would like to try it out, please follow the instructions below.

Prerequisite

To install PortPi, you will need wired Internet connection. DO NOT use wireless Internet!

Installation

Log into your Raspberry Pi and run the following command in Terminal:

curl -sL https://git.io/fAxPd | sudo -E bash -

The installation process will take only a couple minutes.

Testing

Tested on device: Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.

Tested on OS: RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP / LITE with version June 2018
